Byron Woollen, Ph.D., is the founder and Managing Partner of Podia Consulting, a firm that specializes in change management, leadership consultation and advising leaders on organizational effectiveness. From small startups to global companies, he offers a unique and psychologically informed approach to identifying and intervening at the root causes of organizational issues. His background in individual and group behavior as well as organizational systems theory and business provide a means for Dr. Woollen to engage with the complexity of contemporary businesses. In his work with corporate leaders and ￼teams, he helps companies align organizational structures with strategic goals, optimize team and individual effectiveness, and diagnose organizational dynamics.
With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Woollen’s work across a range of industries and organizational designs offers him insight into the leadership practices that are succeeding in these interesting economic times. Dr. Woollen’s approach to consulting is borne out of his recognition that the defining qualities separating great business success from mediocrity are organizational structures that promote innovation, leaders who drive authority through the enterprise and the ability of companies to prioritize thoughtful planning in the face of ubiquitous change. He holds an MA from the University of Chicago, and has earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the New School for Social Research.
